Summary

A modified refrigerator called a double-inlet reversible pulse-tube refrigerator is suggested in the paper. Two important parameters which affect the performance of the refrigerator are discussed. Numerical predictions show that the refrigeration power of the refrigerator is about three times as great as that of the orifice version and the efficiency is doubled. Results of comparative experiments verify that the performance of a pulse-tube refrigerator is greatly improved by using the refrigerator.
