Summary

Analyses the application of evaporative cooling air conditioning under the condition of natural convection in a semi-closed room with open windows by theory method, and gives the relational expression between indoor temperature and window size and that between indoor humidity and window size. Experimentally studies the indoor temperature and humidity under the conditions of different window sizes, window orientations and air supply outlets. The results show that when outdoor wet-bulb temperature is not higher than 24.6°C, under natural convection condition, provided the window size and orientation are appropriate, the indoor temperature and humidity can achieve an ideal effect by using evaporative cooling air conditioning; the cooling range using a square diffuser is larger than that using a double outlet.
