Summary

In this paper, an alternative global model of a small commercial diffusion-absorption refrigerator to pre- dict the outlet temperatures of each component, the liquid and vapor mass flow for the bubble pump and COP of the system is presented and compared with the experimental results. The model requires as input parameters: the thermal conditions (based on thermostat positions), the geometrical parameters and the ambient temperature. The results are displayed for seven different thermostat positions, where the tem- perature predictions indicate that the main components of the system have a deviation lesser than ±4 K. In the case of COP, the maximum relative error is 8% compared with experimental results.
