Summary
In the article, the scroll configuration respectively made up of an archimedes spiral and a base circle involute wrap is compared. It shows, within the same scroll diameter, that the volume reduction ratio, suction volume and discharge area of the archimedes spiral are all greater than those of the circle involute.
