THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF A FENESTRATION COMPONENT WITH CONTROLLED AIR FLOWS.

Summary

THE AIM OF THE WORK IS TO VERIFY THE POSSIBILITY OF RECOVERING A SIGNIFICANT PART OF SOLAR ENERGY INCIDENT ON A WINDOW WHEN VENETIAN BLINDS ARE USED IN ORDER TO REDUCE LIGHT FLUX. A MEASUREMENT CAMPAIGN HAS BEEN DEVELOPED IN ORDER TO VALIDATE A MATHEMATICAL MODEL, WHICH HAS BEEN THEN USED TO SIMULATE THE THERMAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE SYSTEM UNDER SEASONALLY VARYING CLIMATIC CONDITIONS AND TO EVALUATE THE ENERGY BALANCE IN A REFERENCE ENVIRONMENT.
