Summary

This document presents a study carried out from April to June in Delhi, providing hourly data on the daytime temperature and humidity of a room equipped with a direct evaporative cooler, when its roof was exposed to solar radiation. These data were compared with values computed when the roof was unexposed. The additional heat load due to exposure can be dealt with by slightly increasing the flow rate of the evaporatively cooled air. Results are discussed for April, May and June in Delhi.
