THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENT OF MERCURY IN A MAGNETIC FIELD.

Author(s) : NAKAMURA S.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE THERMALCONDUCTIVITY OF MERCURY IS MEASURED IN A MAGNETIC FIELD OF BETWEEN 0 AND 4 T AT -4 DEG C BY THE TRANSIENT HOT-WIRE METHOD WITH A CERAMIC PROBE. SUPPRESSION OF THE CONVECTION CAUSED BY HEATING THE WIRE IS EXPERIMENTALLY CONFIRMED.
