Summary

IT IS SHOWN THAT THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF A TWO-DIMENSIONAL METALLIC SYSTEM UNLIKE THAT OF A USUAL THREE-DIMENSIONAL METAL IS DUE TO PULSE RATHER THAN ENERGY RELAXATION OF ELECTRONS ON PHONONS. THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COEFFICIENT IS ANOMALOUSLY LARGE AND DEPENDS ON TEMPERATURE IN AN UNUSUAL FASHION.
