Type of article: Article

Summary

THE AUTHOR EXPLAINS SOME SIMPLE TESTS CONDUCTED TO COMPARE REFLECTIVE AND RESISTIVE SOLAR CONTROL GLASS TO OTHER WALL CLADDING MATERIALS RATHER THAN TO CLEAR GLASS. THE RESULTS INDICATED THAT EVEN A SHEET OF PAPER IS A BETTER THERMAL CLADDING THAN GLASS. A SIGNIFICANT POINT TO PUT TO AN ARCHITECT. OTHER EXPERIMENTS SHOW THAT REVERSING A SANDWICH OF REFLECTIVE AND RESISTIVE GLASS DECREASES ITS SHADING FACTOR. D.W.H.
