A PARTIAL STORAGE ICE BANK PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY HALF THE TOTAL COOLING LOAD. BASE DAYTIME COOLING IS BY A CENTRIFUGAL CHILLER, WITH EXTRA CAPACITY TAKEN FROM THE ICE BANK UNDER CONTROL OF AN EMS. CHILLER IS SWITCHED OFF AT TIMES OF MAXIMUM DEMAND OR WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH ICE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY. A.R.T.
