Summary

ALTHOUGH THE PRINCIPLE HAS BEEN KNOWN FOR A LONG TIME, THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EJECTION HEAT PUMP IS QUITE RECENT AND LINKED TO THE ENERGY CRISIS. THE EJECTION HEAT PUMP OPERATES ON A THERMODYNAMIC CYCLE (EVAPORATION, COMPRESSION, CONDENSATION) SIMILAR TO THAT OFMECHANICAL HEAT PUMPS, BUT IT USES WATER AS THE THERMAL FLUID. THE CONDENSER ABSORBS THE HEAT OF THE MIXTURE OF BOTH VAPOURS, STEAM AND VAPOUR FROM HEAT RECOVERY.
