Summary
This paper presents the thermo-physical properties of silica gel powder (SGP) consolidated composites for adsorption cooling and desalination applications. The motivation of this research is to develop high packing density and high thermal conductivity SGP consolidated composite without highly affecting the porous properties of parent SGP. The effect of packing density and different types of binders on the porous properties and thermal diffusivity of SGP composites have been investigated experimentally.
