Thermoacoustic oscillations in hydrogen systems.

Author(s) : WINKLER H., QUACK H.

Summary

The storage of hydrogen can be done in different ways; one of them is at temperatures around 25 K in the liquid phase. A problem, well known in helium technology, is the arising of thermo acoustic oscillations coming up with a tremendous increase of the heat input through the cold liquid. This work investigates the main influencing parameters for the gas oscillation. In addition to a theoretical overview, an experimental setup is presented, and some results of the experiments are shown.
