Summary

SEVERAL MATHEMATICAL MODELS DESIGNED TO DESCRIBE THE PROMOTION OF THE SOLID-GAS TRANSFORMATION, INDUCED BY CHEMICAL HEAT PUMPS, ARE PRESENTED. THE FORM OF THE EQUATIONS DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF LIMITATION CONTROLLING THE SPEED OF REACTION ; THE PROCESS OF CHEMICAL KINETICS IS ISOLATED FROM THE PHENOMENA OF HEAT TRANSFER. THE GLOBAL PROMOTION OF THE REACTION AND THE TEMPERATURE OF THE REACTIVE MEDIUM, ASSUMED TO BE HOMOGENEOUS AND UNDER PRESSURE CONSTRAINT, ARE EXPERIMENTALLY KNOWN. THE DIFFICULTIES ARE DUE TO: THE EXISTENCE OF TWO SUCCESSIVE REACTIONS FOR THE SOLID-GAS COUPLE CHOSEN, THE PARTIAL EVOLUTION BEING NON MEASURABLE, AND TO THE INTERPRETATION OF TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS.
