Summary
This paper presents thermodynamic analysis of a magnetic refrigerator with static switches. This kind of refrigerator is above all used in laboratory experiments. The article presents the types of losses which appear in this refrigerator, along with a method for computational conditions for thermodynamic analysis. It was shown that the heat losses were increased by convection in adiabatic and isothermal demagnetization.
