Thermodynamic analysis of a vapour-absorption heat transformer using environmentally friendly working fluids.

Summary

The thermodynamic performance of a single-stage vapour-absorption heat transformer using R134a-DMETEG (dimethylethertetraethyleneglycol), R134a-DMAC (dimethylacetamide), R32-DMAC and R124-DMAC as working fluids was studied. COP, circulation ratio and second law efficiency under different operating conditions have been obtained. From the simulation results, it was seen that of the four pairs, the R124-DMAC combination gives better results under almost all the operating conditions.
