Thermodynamic analysis of carbon dioxide cycles.

Author(s) : VAISMAN I. B.

Summary

The thermodynamic analysis is based on a modified cryogenic approach. A throttling isothermal effect at discharge pressure, a throttling isothermal effect at evaporating pressures, refrigerating effect losses on incomplete regeneration at evaporating pressure, and refrigerating effect losses on incomplete cooling to ambient temperature at discharge pressure are defined, calculated and discussed in terms of evaluation of specific refrigerating effect, volumetric refrigerating effect, and COP. Conclusions are given.
