Summary
A MATHEMATICAL MODEL IS MADE FOR THE THERMODYNAMIC CALCULATION OF THE EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER BASED ON ASSUMING THE HEAT REJECTION THROUGH THE CONDENSING TUBING TO BE REALIZED IN SUPERHEATED, CONDENSING AND SUBCOOLED CONDITIONS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE TUBING. THE CALCULATIONS COINCIDE WITH WHAT IS FOUND BY EXPERIMENTAL METHODS. HOWEVER, IF HEATREJECTION THROUGH THE TUBING IS ASSUMED TO BE CARRIED OUT ONLY IN THE CONDENSING STATE, THE RESULTS DEVIATE TO A RELATIVELY GREAT DEGREE FROM THOSE MEASURED.
