Thermodynamic cycle, correlations and nomograph for ammonia-sodium thiocyanate absorption refrigeration systems.
Author(s) : ROGDAKIS E. D., ANTONOPOULOS K. A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Correlations are developed, which express the COP and the cooling capacity in terms of the required evaporation temperature and the available ambient temperature. A nomograph is also presented, which shows in a compact form the behaviour of the ammonia-sodium thipcyanate system and allows direct estimation of its main characteristics. Cooling capacities and COP are estimated and compared with a system running with ammonia-lithium nitrate.
