THE COLD AIR REFRIGERATING PLANT IS AGAIN MEETING GROWING INTEREST ON THE PART OF REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT USERS. THE ARTICLE DEALS WITH THERMODYNAMIC INVESTIGATIONS OF AIR CYCLES. AS THE CALCULATION EQUATIONS OF THE EFFICIENCY DATA CAN EASILY BE PUT INTO MATHEMATICAL MODELS, GENERAL STATEMENTS CAN BE MADE. THERE ARE MAXIMUM COP, INCLUDING AN OPTIMUM PRESSURE RATIO. THIS RESULTS, WITH A CERTAIN REFRIGERATING CAPACITY, IN AN OPTIMUM REFRIGERANT MASS FLOW.
