Thermodynamic properties of lithium bromide aqueous solution.

Author(s) : MURAKAMI K., SAKAMOTO M.

Summary

The paper presents the results of measurements of thermal properties of lithium bromide aqueous solution, which is widely used in commercial units. Special emphasis is placed on density measurement, because it is one of the critical factors for determining concentration of the aqueous solution. Laboratory testing is conducted on a newly designed test rig incorporating a vibratory density meter. An empirical formula describing dependence of density on temperature and concentration is derived from experimental results.
