Type of article: Article

Summary

THE INDUCTION OF A MAGNETIC FLUX IS OBSERVED EXPERIMENTALLY IN A SUPERCONDUCTING BIMETALLIC SYSTEM (RING CLOSING A JOSEPHSON SNS JUNCTION) BY PASSING A HEAT FLOW THROUGH THE JUNCTION. THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE SYSTEM IS SIMULATED NUMERICALLY ON THE BASIS OF THE THEORY DEVELOPED FOR THE CASE OF UNIFORM INTRODUCTION OF AN ELECTRIC CURRENT INTO A DISTRIBUTED SNS JUNCTION CLOSED BY A SUPERCONDUCTING RING.
