THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE: COMPARISON BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL AND NON CONVENTIONAL ARRANGEMENT.

Summary

WITH REFERENCE TO REFRIGERATION, A COMPARISON IS CARRIED OUT BETWEEN THE BEHAVIOUR OF A CONVENTIONAL THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE AND THAT OF AN ELECTRICALLY OPERATED EXPANSION VALVE. REFERRING TO SOME EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AND BY MEANS OF THE FREQUENCY-ANALYSIS METHOD, THE SUPERIORITY OF THE ADVANCED THERMOSTATIC VALVE OVER THE CONVENTIONAL ONES IS PROVEN. IN ORDER TO REGULATE THE SUPERHEAT, THE PROPORTIONAL ACTION ALONE IS SUGGESTED, THIS ACTION APPEARING TO BE THE MOST SUITABLE FOR OBTAINING THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE EVAPORATOR. THE PROBLEM WAS STUDIED ALSO FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE COUPLING WITH A VARIABLE SPEED COMPRESSOR.
