Summary

CAPILLARY TUBES AND THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVES WILL NOT GIVE THE BEST COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE, ESPECIALLY WITH COMPRESSOR CAPACITY VARIATION. THE HIGH COST OF INVERTER SPEED CONTROL JUSTIFIES EXTRA ATTENTION TO THE EXPANSION DEVICE. COOLING, HEAT PUMP AND MULTIPLE-EVAPORATOR CIRCUITS REQUIRE QUICK START-UP RESPONSE, LIMITATION OF DISCHARGE TEMPERATURES AND DEFROSTINITIATION. ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVES FOR THIS PURPOSE HAVE MPE A FNOTLR. VALVE MUST BE FAIL-SAFE IN A WORKING POSITION. A.R.T.
