A LNG PUMP WITH HYDROSTATIC JOURNAL BEARINGS HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AND HAS BEEN OPERATING AT THE SODEGAURA TERMINAL SINCE DECEMBER 1987. IT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO IMPROVE THE RELIABILITY LEVEL AND EASES MAINTENANCE, SINCE THE HYDROSTATIC JOURNAL BEARINGS HAVE A POTENTIAL LIFE OF OVER 100,000 OPERATING HOURS AND THEIR HIGH RESISTANCE TO FAILURES FACILITATES EASY AND ECONOMIC DIAGNOSIS DURING THEIR POTENTIAL LIFETIME.
