Summary

MANY SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZE FREEZING PLANTS ARE BEING DE-SIGNED NOWADAYS FOR WHICH THE TRADITIONAL, SIMPLE TUNNELS FORM THE MOST ECONOMIC INSTRUMENTS OF FREEZING. SINCE THE DEMAND FOR THESE FREEZING TUNNELS HAS GREATLY INCREASED, THEIR STANDARDIZATION AND MASS PRODUCTION HAS BECOME POSSIBLE. THE PAPER PRESENTS A NEW HUNGARIAN-DESIGNED FREEZING TUNNEL WHICH IS CONSTRUCTED TO FIT A STANDARD TRANSPORT CONTAINER AND WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR SERIAL MANUFACTURE.
