Transformation of sapropel in the process of freezing.

Summary

Sapropels are special muds used as fertilizers or medical muds, and exist in certain countries as lake deposits. These muds contain a large amount of water and have to be dried to facilitate transportation. The most effective drying process is cryogenic drying. Heat transfer conditions are studied, in relation to freezing, thawing and soil texture.
