Summary
This document reviews various types of technology used in refrigerated transport. Mechanical compression using new refrigerants such as R134a, R404A or R407C is the most widely used technology. However, research is being conducted in order to develop new technology involving the use of cryogenic gases, CO2 compression equipment, air cycles and absorption systems.
