Summary
The share of heat pumps in sales of room air-conditioner and packaged air-conditioner in Japan seems to be approaching the uppermost level (at present, it is 78% for room air-conditioners and 80% for packaged air-conditioners) and from now on, it may rise by less than 1% per year. This share is expected to remain unchanged even when total domestic sales fluctuate depending on business and weather conditions. The article describes the current trends.
