Two case studies of cogeneration system design and economic feasibility.
Author(s) : WILLIAMS A., HESSAMI M. A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper describes two existing applications of cogeneration, one in a hospital, the other in a sugar confectionery factory. Electrical power production for refrigeration and heating should be adapted to requirements and the possible surplus should be ready for instantaneous use, due to the lack of appropriate means of storage. The performance of the two installations examined is discussed.
