Summary

The condensation data obtained for the refrigerant blends R404A, R407C and Isceon 59 with the test facility were in good agreement with the correlations from Dobson and Chato and Shah. The Shah correlation for condensation heat transfer coefficient was found to predict adequately the local experimental results, with an overall standard deviation of 9.1%. The Dobson and Chato correlation gave the best prediction of the three refrigerants considered in this study, with an average standard deviation of 7,6%.
