Summary

Due to the slowing down of the economy since May-June, 1992 has not confirmed the hopes for recovery which were predicted. The refrigeration sector has significantly regressed and only the ventilation sector has progressed slightly. Export is still maintained, in spite of devaluations in five countries (Finland, Sweden, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom), and uncertainties due to the use of certain refrigerants. The outlook for 1993 is not good, except for China and the five "Dragons" of South-East Asia (Korea, Hong-Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore). In France the outlook depends on the monetary policy of the Government. Y.G.
