Unsteady heat transfer in the cross-flow heat exchanger.

Author(s) : KRAJCI I.

Summary

Unsteady heat transfer occurs at the beginning of any experimental measurement. It is important to know the time required to reach the steady state. The calculation model of the unsteady heat transfer consists of the boundary conditions and differential equations in the cross-flow heat exchanger with unmixed fluids. Differential equations are used for the calculation of the temperature changes in the fluids and in the wall of the heat exchanger. The changes of temperature over time (transient responses) for both fluids on the outlet are observed. The transient responses with different calculation parameters are compared.
