Summary

SOLVING A BOUNDARY, REVERSE, UNIDIMENSIONAL PROBLEM FOR AN IMMOBILE MEDIUM WITH NON-LINEAR THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND WITH A FINITE RELAXATION PERIOD OF THE HEAT FLOW. THE SOLUTION FOR BOTH UNI-AND TWO-DIMENSIONAL CASES ARE PRESENTED AS A SERIES OF CONVERGENT TEMPERATURE FUNCTIONS. ANALYSIS OF THE CONDITIONS OF CONVERGENCE. THE VELOCITY OF THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE FRONTIER AT WHICH THE NON-LINEAR HEAT TRANSFER OCCURS DIFFERS FROM THAT OF THE HEAT WAVE.
