Use of ultrasound for intensification of the heat transfer process in heat exchangers.

Author(s) : KURBANOV U., MELKUMOV K.

Summary

The article presents investigations in the field of ultrasonic vibrations for heat transfer intensification in the heat exchangers used in refrigerating equipment, air-conditioning and heating systems. Data analysis shows a roughly 20% intensification in the process. The authors analyse the possible application of this method to refrigeration and other branches. An original design of an electrodynamic generator is presented, along with a link to a similar patented method. A comparison between the methods is also given.
