Summary

The problem of using porous inserts to enhance heat transfer in a rectangular channel with constant wall temperatures has been studied. A flow model that includes inertia and viscous effects was used to determine the velocity profile inside the porous region. For the fluid region, momentum transfer was modelled with the Navier-Stokes equation.
