VENTILATION SYSTEMS WITH VARIABLE AIR VOLUME (VAV) CAN BE EASILY SUPPLEMENTED WITH DEVICES FOR AIR QUALITY CONTROL, SUCH AS CO2 SENSORS. IN PREMISES WHERE AIR QUALITY IS PRIMARILY AFFECTED BY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE OCCUPYING THE ROOM, A CONVENTIONAL, TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED VAV SYSTEM PROVIDES BENEFICIAL CONTROL OF THE AIR FLOW FROM AN AIR QUALITY STANDPOINT. THE ARTICLE DESCRIBES EXAMPLES OF SOME TESTS THAT WERE CONDUCTED IN A CONFERENCE ROOM AND AUDITORIUM.
