The paper systematically reviews VOC-related problems, including their role in indoor air quality, their impacts on human health, experimental and theoretical research approaches and main conclusions, actions of governments and institutes over the world on this issue, etc. It is concluded that almost everybody involved in building and human health should be concerned with this problem.
