Summary

SEVERAL TEXTS REFER TO AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE MOVEMENT OF WATER CONTENT IN THE VERTICAL FRONTAGES OF BUILDINGS BUILT WITH STONE BLOCKS AND SUBJECTED TO VARIOUS CLIMATIC CONDITIONS. THE AIM OF THESE STUDIES IS TO CREATE MODELS MAKING IT POSSIBLE, IN THE FUTURE, EASILY TO INCORPORATE THE < MOISTURE > PARAMETER IN THE THERMAL DESIGN OF A BUILDING WALL. THE FIRST TEXT DEALS WITH THE THEORY OF THE POROSITY, HYGROSCOPICITY AND WATER AND WATER VAPOUR PERMEABILITY PHENOMENA, ON THE MEANS OF MEASURING THEM AND ON THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MATERIAL. THE SECOND TEXT ANALYZES THE MECHANISMS AFFECTING WATER CONTENT ARISING FROM DRIVING RAIN AND THOSE CAUSING THE MOISTURE TO DISAPPEAR BECAUSE OF SOLAR RADIATION. THE THIRD TEXT PRESENTS A CALCULATION MODEL FOR THE VAPOUR FLUX WHICH MIGRATES IN A POROUS WALL. J.R.
