WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE DOUBLE EFFECT ABSORPTION COOLING CYCLE ANALYSIS.

Summary

A PHYSICAL MODEL AND COMPUTER CODE FOR DYNAMICALLY SIMULATING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE DOUBLE-EFFECT ABSORPTION COOLING CYCLE WERE DEVELOPED. THE COMPUTER CODE WAS USED TO INVESTIGATE THE CAPACITY AND COP IN TERMS OF SEVERAL DESIGN AND OPERATIONAL VARIABLES FOR THE CYCLE. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE RELATIVE ALLOCATION OF HEAT EXCHANGE AREA AMONG THE SEVERAL HEAT EXCHANGERS, THE METHOD OF REFRIGERANT FLOW CONTROL AND THE TYPE OF SOLUTION PUMP CHARACTERISTIC ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO CYCLE PERFORMANCE.
