THE INCIDENCE OF LEGIONNAIRES' DISEASE HAS DRAWN THE ATTENTION OF THE PUBLIC TO THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CORRECT TREATMENT OF COOLING WATER SYSTEMS. WELL-DESIGNED SYSTEMS DO NOT CAUSE MUCH TROUBLE IF PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND OPERATED. IT IS THE BADLY DESIGNED TOWER THAT CAUSES DRIFT AND IS DIFFICULT TO CLEAN.
