Author(s) : CHANDRA S.

Summary

THE STATE OF THE ART ON PREDICTING AIR FLOWS FROM NATURAL VENTILATION IS DISCUSSED. THE USEFULNESS AND LIMITATIONS OF WIND-TUNNEL-DERIVED BUILDING PRESSURE COEFFICIENT DATA IN PREDICTING AIRFLOW ARE PRESENTED. ACTUAL MEASURED FULL-SCALE FIELD DATA ARE PROVIDEDTO SHOW THE EFFECTS OF ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE, WINDOW TYPE, AND INSECT SCREENING ON AIR FLOW. ALSO PRESENTED ARE AIR FLOW AND AIR SPEED DATA FROM CEILING FANS.
