2018 was an eventful year for the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) who organised several conferences to improve the cold chain and reduce the impact of refrigeration on the environment (refrigerants, energy consumption).

2018 was an eventful year for the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) who organised several conferences to improve the cold chain and reduce the impact of refrigeration on the environment (refrigerants, energy consumption). These issues are more than ever at the top of the international agenda and the IIR will continue to contribute through its various dissemination actions.


In particular, 2019 will be the year of the 25th International Congress of Refrigeration to be held in Montreal from August 24 to 30, 2019.


990 abstracts were selected, following a record influx of submissions. This shows the dynamics of both industrial and academic research in the field of refrigeration, and the renown of IIR conferences and congresses. We count on your active participation in this unique event.
