The 8th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 14th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol invited the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP) to prepare a Special Report entitled: Safeguarding the Ozone Layer and the Global Climate System: Issues Related to Hydrofluorocarbons and Perfluorocarbons. A team of 100 authors has been drafting this report since August 2003. 300 expert reviewers have been nominated. François Billiard and Jean-Luc Dupont have participated in the reviewing process. The final report will be a public document and should be published early 2005.
