Conference programme now available for ICCC 2022

In addition to three keynote sessions, the event will gather over 50 presentations, three workshops and several coffee lounges discussions looking at new ways to tackle questions around sustainability and the cold chain.

With a selection of varied and informative presentations, workshops and coffee lounges, delegates will get a unique opportunity to explore cold chain innovation, developments in refrigeration technology and design, and examine what is being done to build a sustainable cold chain to address key UN Sustainable Development Goals.

 

The 7th IIR Conference on Sustainability and the Cold Chain, which will take place online on April 11 to 13, will feature over 50 presentations and three keynote sessions looking at new and innovative ways to tackle questions around sustainability and the cold chain.

 

Insightful keynote presentations

 

Boasting an impressive selection of international experts, the event will include the following keynote presentations:

  • Delivering a Sustainable Cold Chain is a Worldwide Initiative – presented by James S. Curlin (UNEP), this talk will explore how countries must build national policies and action frameworks to ensure that more efficient cold chains are implemented.
  • Role of the UK in Developing and Delivering Cold Chains Worldwide – led by Steve Cowperthwaite (DEFRA) and Dr Elizabeth Warham (DIT) will look at the UK’s influence in establishing cold chains all over the world.
  • The Importance of a Sustainable Cold Chain – presented by Olaf Schulze (Metro Properties), this webinar will not only look at the prominence of a sustainable cold chain but also at the challenges and opportunities a sustainable cold chain brings.
  • Food for Thought: How to Make our Food System More Sustainable? Led by Andrea Voigt (Danfoss), this presentation will discuss ways to make our food system more sustainable from a societal and policy-based perspective, while highlighting the role of the cold chain and anchoring it in the fourth industrial revolution.
