Conference update: Sydney
The 9th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Working Fluids will be held in Sydney, Australia on, April 12-14, 2010. The conference will place a heavy emphasis on natural refrigerant CO2 as a real alternative solution. Registration, with early bird discounts, is now open. The conference will focus on the latest research and advances in the field of natural refrigerants in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. Over 40 experts from around the world will present the state of the art.
Speakers on CO2 include: - CO2 - A refrigerant from the past with prospects of being one of the main refrigerants in the future, Petter Neksa a senior scientist of SINTEF, Norway. - Latest developments in compressors and refrigeration systems using the refrigerant R744 (CO2), Manuel Fröschle & Harald Kaiser, of Bock Kältemaschienen, Germany. - Maximization of the SPF through optimised control of a CO2 heat pump, Sebastian Ott from Stiebel Eltron, Germany - The evolution of CO2 refrigeration from trial to roll out in Tesco stores, Andy Campbell, Head of Refrigeration Environmental, Tesco, UK - CO2 Supermarket Refrigeration System for Hot Climates, Silvia Minetto & Sergio Girotto from the University of Padua, Italy. The Gustav Lorentzen conference will be held simultaneously with the ARBS exhibition, which is the largest HVAC&R event in the southern hemisphere. This exhibition is expected to attract over 10 000 visitors and focuses on best practice sustainability, energy efficiency and compliance.
