EN ISO 22712 Public enquiry for comments

The EN ISO 22712 standard can be a useful tool to develop national and international qualification/certification programmes and will allow further harmonisation of these schemes.

The EN ISO 22712 standard can be a useful tool to develop national and international qualification/certification programmes and will allow further harmonisation of these schemes.

This standard defines the activities related to the refrigerant circuits in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump sector and the associated competence profiles required to engage in these activities. It also establishes procedures for assessing the competence of persons who carry out these activities.

This standard is originally from the European Standard EN13313, published October 2010 and prepared by CEN TC182 WG 4. At both EN and ISO levels, it was agreed that the standard should be updated and changed into an international standard. The updated standard takes into account technological developments, the revised EU F-gas regulation and global needs. It is registered in ISO/TC86/SC1 (safety and environmental requirements for refrigerating systems) and the work is coordinated by CEN TC182 WG4. The EN ISO 22712 standard can be used for any type of refrigerant.

The standard is in the DIS stage (draft international standard) and a public enquiry for comments will start on September 3, 2018 and will close on November 26, 2018.

If you wish to participate to the public enquiry for comments, please contact the member body of the International Organisation for Standardisation in your country.
