Events: IRHACE Conference
The Institute of Refrigeration, Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers of New Zealand (IRHACE) held a conference in Auckland on May 21-22, 2004 and attracted roughly 100 Australasian participants. The overarching theme was sustainability and 18 papers were presented. During the conference, the first meeting of a sub-group of the Australia/NZ Climate Action Partnership (ANZCAP) was held; this group is working on the establishment of a common code of practice for handling refrigerants. The NZ Committee for the IIR and IRHACE will hold a conference entitled Innovative Equipment and Systems for Food Preservation and Comfort on April 20-22, 2006.
