SIFA (Interprofessional Exhibition of Refrigeration and its Applications)
A key event to all refrigeration players, the Interprofessional Exhibition of Refrigeration and its Applications (SIFA) welcomed 3,600 visitors in Paris from 19 to 20 November 2019.
The show proposed a dynamic program of conferences to address the main issues of professionals in the field.
Among more than 120 other exhibitors, the IIR shared a booth with the French association of refrigeration (AFF) to highlight how important it is for the IIR to collaborate with national refrigeration associations.
Next edition of the trade show will take place at La Cité Internationale des Congrès in Lyon, from 24 to 26 November 2020.
SARA (Salon of Agriculture and Animal Resources)
On November 23-24, Mr. Jean-Claude Zobo, the Ivory Coast IIR delegate participated on behalf of the IIR at the symposium on "Agriculture and agri-food: agroecological transitions and innovations" organised by France. This event took place during the 5th edition of SARA "Salon of Agriculture and Animal Resources" from November 22 to December 1, 2019, in Ivory Coast, which gathered 300,000 visitors, 6,500 professionals and 25 countries. France was the country in the spotlight of this 5th edition. The Minister of Agriculture and Food Mr. Didier Guillaume made an intervention at the Agro Club meeting.
The objective of the symposium was to:
- Meet with Ivorian government members, including the Prime Minister;
- Exchange with French entrepreneurs present in Ivory Coast;
- Conduct site visits with the Ivorian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The exhibition "Froid" continues its journey around the world
After welcoming more than 280,000 people at La Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in Paris, in 2018 and heading to the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans in Burgundy-Franche-Comté in France from November 2018 to April 2019, the exhibition entitled “Froid” (cold) continues its trip to South Korea.
Since 23 July 2019 and until 30 November 2019, the exhibition is held in the South-East of the country in Busan.
The exhibition "Froid" will then move to Canada, at the Museum of Nature and Science in Sherbrooke, from September 2020 and to Switzerland at the Museum of Geology in Lausanne from June 2021.
