Statement from the Director General of the IIR

 

As Director General of the International Institute of Refrigeration, I am honoured to invite participants from around the world to our upcoming IIR conferences. Held regularly across diverse locations around the world, these events promise to be remarkable gatherings of experts, researchers, and professionals dedicated to advancing the fields of refrigeration and heat pumps.

 

The IIR has always been committed to fostering collaboration and innovation, transcending borders and bridging diverse perspectives. It is important to underscore that the IIR, as a global and the only intergovernmental organisation in the world dedicated exclusively to refrigeration and heat pump technologies, operates independently of the political tensions and conflicts that may exist in certain regions. Our conferences and network remain open to all who are passionate about contributing to the advancement of refrigeration and related technologies, regardless of their nationality, background, or geopolitical circumstances.

 

We extend a warm welcome to all participants and deeply value the rich diversity of experiences and insights that each of you brings to our community. However, I must highlight that the process of obtaining visas for entry into the host country is governed by the policies of the respective national authorities. While the IIR and the local organising committees will do everything in their power to support your participation, we cannot influence visa decisions or processes. We encourage you to initiate your visa applications as early as possible and to seek guidance from your local embassies or consulates if needed.

 

IIR conferences offer an invaluable opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas, as well as to strengthen the global network that drives our sector forward. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events and to the fruitful discussions that will undoubtedly emerge from these unique gatherings.
